NZPS Foundations Day

Foundations Day workshops are a feature of NZ Pain Society Annual Scientific Meetings. They offer you an opportunity to update your essential knowledge about pain and pain management, while also connecting with colleagues from around the country.
Intention is to model teamwork, whole person rehab, clinical reasoning, integrating phases/stages of pain treatment, and especially pragmatics of ‘doing pain management’ from the person’s lived experience perspective.

- Person with pain giving their story
- Each of about five clinicians giving an update on considerations that should be made re pain and pain management
- Participants divide into ‘teams’ and generate a pain plan for the person who gave their story
- Feedback from each team
- Feedback from presenters
- Feedback from person living with pain
